Gulf Photo Plus coming to Dubai in March 2010

Dates for the annual Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) event have been confirmed as 1st to 6th March 2010. The region’s only hands-on dedicated photography event where participants can learn from the best in the business is now in its sixth year and will be held at Dubai Knowledge Village.

The GPP annual event will be a week long event packed with more than 50 fantastic workshops, the Photo Friday featuring 90-minute seminars and panels, an exhibition featuring work by the visiting photographers and many special offers.
The annual event will kick off with an ‘invitation only’ exhibition at Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre on 28th February at 7pm. The exhibition will feature selected works from the 12 visiting photographers including Joey Lawrence, David Nightingale, Robin Nichols, Bobbi Lane, Joe McNally, David Hobby and Zack Arias.

New to the event this year is a video SLR workshop presented by Vincent Laforet, who believes the world of still photography is rapidly converging with that of film, video and multi-media.

Fashion photography comes into focus this year with Melissa Rodwell's two-day seminar, where she will clearly illustrate all of the preparation that goes into a fashion shoot and the science behind it. Crew briefings, working with hair and make-up stylists, being able to take an attractive girl and turn her into a super model, the wardrobe and fabric selection, importance of accessories, lighting and post production.
