Lady Gaga has been appointed creative director at Polaroid

Earlier today, Lady Gaga announced that she would be embarking on a new collaboration — not with another artist, but rather with Polaroid, the venerable instant-camera makers. She will adopt the title "Creative Director and Inventor of Speciality Products", and is working on a top secret range of gadgets which will hit the shelves in 2010.
During a short question and answer session, she said when Polaroid - which went into bankruptcy in 2001 - stopped making cameras and film "I was outraged. I'm interested in bringing it back … (and) combining it with the digital era and making something new."
Gaga's appointment was unveiled by Polaroid on Thursday, at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show.
"For me, what I'm really excited about is bringing back the artistry and the nature of Polaroid."she told people at the CES.
She stressed that her "creative partnership" with Polaroid is not an endorsement deal. "We won't be selling cameras with my face on them," she said. "I'm working on bringing the instant film camera back as part of the future."
