Fujifilm will showcase its complete line up of photo imaging offerings at PMA 2010 in exhibit booth 3101. A summary of those offerings appears below.
Expanding the World of Picture Taking
FinePix Digital Cameras
Fujifilm’s line up of FinePix digital cameras this year boasts a wide range of category-leading features thanks to the company’s award-winning EXR technology and Fujinon optics. Fujinon lenses are acclaimed by photographers, broadcasters (as the world’s leading manufacturer of television camera lenses) and industrial users across the globe. Fujinon lenses are also used in orbital satellites to capture high-resolution photos of the surface of the moon. Fujifilm has produced a roster of cameras that feature high-powered wide-angle zoom lenses, face recognition, HD movie capture, image stabilization, 3D imaging and a first this year, “pet detection” technology that recognizes the features of dogs and cats. The 2010 FinePix models sport sleek design features, an engaging color mix, and enhanced user features such as a touch screen with an interactive graphic user interface on one model. An optional HD player accessory is compatible with the complete 2010 FinePix line of cameras for output of HD stills & movies to an HD television.
At PMA 2010, Fujifilm introduces FinePix F80EXR, a compact digital camera that combines intuitive use with the most advanced features, including Fujifilm’s award-winning EXR technology. Among its many features, the camera has an impressive Fujinon 10x Wide-Angle optical zoom lens, a 12-MegaPixel Super CCD EXR sensor, a large, 3.0” High-Contrast LCD, Face Recognition, Pet Detection and HD movie capture with HDMI interface. The FinePix F80EXR is encased in a sculpted metal shell with a lacquer finish and measures only 22.9 mm thick.
For serious photographers seeking the versatility and performance of a D-SLR system without the bulk or expense, Fujifilm has introduces its FinePix HS10. This latest addition to the brand’s award-winning range of big zoom ‘bridge’ cameras offers an unprecedented feature set that combines a powerful 30x wide angle, twist-barrel manual Fujinon optical zoom lens with high-speed shooting modes, and full 1080p HD movie capture in a compact, closed body camera. Triple image stabilization combines a mechanically stabilized back side illuminated CMOS sensor with high ISO sensitivities and advanced multi-frame digital stabilization for fast action and total anti-blur protection that deliver clear results even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging lighting conditions. The camera’s innovative new electronic viewfinder sensor technology automatically switches picture framing between the EVF and the LCD screen when the eye is withdrawn from the viewfinder. In addition, full HD movie mode with stereo sound, and the camera’s mini HDMI output allow users to easily display ultra clear, high definition photographs and movies on high definition televisions.
Also on display for the first time at PMA2010 will be Fujifilm’s FinePix Z700EXR, the first in a new class of EXR touch screen digital cameras. Combining a sleek, 16.9mm wide body design with Fujifilm’s award-winning EXR sensor technology and a 3.5” wide high-resolution touch screen – the camera offers consumers the latest digital imaging technology in a sophisticated package. Navigating through the FinePix Z700EXR’s functions is smooth and easy thanks to Fujifilm’s new dual direction graphic user interface (GUI) and dual image display. The dual direction GUI detects the camera’s orientation and automatically adjusts menu orientation, while the dual image display splits the screen to allow multiple image viewing. This smart technology results in simple feature selection and image navigation in camera. Fujifilm also introduces the FinePix Z70 at PMA as the successor to the widely popular FinePix Z series. The FinePix Z70’s impressive feature set includes one touch HD movie capability, LED illuminated operation keys and tagging with automatic upload functions to YouTube and Facebook.
The new FinePix XP10 marks the first in a new category of super-tough digital cameras - waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof and dustproof. Resulting from a redesign of Fujifilm’s best-selling FinePix Z33WP, the FinePix XP10 is an ergonomic ‘Extreme-Proof’ camera housed in a metal uni-body with a tactile grip finish. This camera sports a 12-MegaPixel CCD sensor, one touch HD movie capture, a 2.7” High-Contrast LCD for better viewing in bright sunlight and a high-precision, Periscopic 5x optical zoom lens from Fujinon with a reinforced lens barrier.
Also debuting at PMA2010 are two new additions to the FinePix S-Series line: The FinePix S1800 and FinePix S2550HD. With a 12-MegaPixel 1/2.3” CCD, a powerful 18x Fujinon wide-angle optical zoom (28mm-504mm equivalent) and an extra large 3.0” high-contrast LCD with electronic viewfinder, these cameras are perfect for advanced amateur photographers who want an affordable, step-up digital camera that will still fit in the palm of their hand. While both digital cameras have the ability to capture movies in HD quality, the S2550HD also has an HDMI mini port, making it more convenient for users to realize the full benefits of their home theater system.
Four new models in the ultra-compact J-Series of digital cameras, the FinePix JV100, JX250, JZ300 and JZ500 have a durable metal body design with 3x, 5x, and 10x Fujinon zoom lens technology and all are HD movie capable. In addition, two new additions to Fujifilm’s A series, the feature-rich and compact FinePix AV100 and AX200, with 3x and 5x Fujinon zoom lens technology, are perfect for the consumer on a budget and allow the user to take great images with minimal effort. Features such as HD Movie Capability, Automatic Scene Recognition, Face Detection and high ISO sensitivity levels allow these cameras to capture stunning memorable moments in either still images or video.
3-D Photography System
Beyond its instant appeal among stereoscopic photography enthusiasts, Fujifilm’s FinePix Real 3D system and the W1 digital camera in particular, have generated strong interest from manufacturers of HDTVs, computers, displays and games with complementary 3D products. Since its introduction in September, 2009, manufacturers developing 3D applications for consumer markets have been drawn to this Fujifilm innovation. The FinePix Real 3D system, and Fujifilm’s developing alliances with other leading technology manufacturers demonstrate Fujifilm’s ongoing commitment to technological innovation that may help define the next generation of photography and make the FinePix Real 3D system a “must see” for everyone at PMA.
Instant Film Camera System
At PMA 2010, Fujifilm showcases its successor to the popular Instax 200, the Instax 210 Instant Film Camera. The company’s newest commercial grade instant camera, the Instax 210 uses Fujifilm’s Instax Wide Instant Color Film to produce vivid images in a wide picture format. The Instax 210 offers an automatic adjusting flash, high-resolution retracting lens, a new close-up lens adapter and a big clear viewfinder. With a high precision Fujinon lens, the Instax 210 has a programmed electronic shutter, two range selectable shooting options, and an LCD control panel displaying focal distance and film count.
The newest consumer model, the Instax Mini 25 Instant Film Camera produces vivid credit-card sized instant prints using Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film. Featuring three exposure modes; auto mode for dark settings, fill in flash mode for flash in both bright and dark settings, and landscape mode, the Instax Mini 25 also includes a detachable lens for shooting close-ups. The programmed electronic shutter has two release buttons for vertical and horizontal shooting. Also for consumers, the cute Instax Mini 7S which was introduced last fall is an instant film solution equipped with high end Fujinon optics and four selectable shooting modes. Fujifilm remains committed to the culture of photography through its continued introduction of instant films to the marketplace.
Medium Format Film Camera
Fujifilm showcases its GF670 Professional medium format folding film camera at PMA 2010. Ideal for professional photographers interested in film photography, the GF670 Professional is a foldable model that features 6”x 6” and 6”x 7” dual-format shooting for use with 120 and 220 roll film. With its Fujinon EBC 80 mm lens, coupled rangefinder, exposure compensator, and aperture-priority automatic and manual exposure modes, the camera produces sharp high quality images. The Fujifilm GF670 Professional has manual shutter speed control and offers a setting for aperture priority automation. The “whisper quiet” shutter mechanism is an Electronic Leaf shutter with speeds ranging from 4s~1/500s including Bulb with flash sync at all speeds.

Expanding Frontier Solutions
Fujifilm’s pioneering Frontier technology and continued advances to its proprietary Image Intelligence™ technology, remains as a solid foundation for the imaging marketplace. Fujifilm has continued to build on its Expanding Frontier Solutions strategy, introducing not only enhanced workflow applications but also new dry printing solutions to meet the changing needs of a marketplace that prints more than just photos. Fujifilm also will demonstrate its Photo Life Center concept at PMA, introducing the latest ideas for the photo center that offer a wide variety of prints and personalized photo products to consumers.
Frontier Digital Lab Systems
Fujifilm today announced the latest addition to its line of Frontier Dry Minilabs, the Frontier Dry Minilab DL450. This latest inkjet printing solution can be optimized for the diverse needs of retail, commercial, and professional markets and represents the latest example of Fujifilm’s effort to Expand Frontier Solutions. The Frontier DL450 is designed to handle a variety of print jobs big and small, with prints speeds of up to 950 4”x6” prints per hour and print sizes of up to 12”x36”. The dual roll paper capability of the Frontier DL450 allows printing of multiple sizes or surfaces for increased efficiency and production. The Frontier DL450 is powered by Fujifilm’s Frontier Workflow Management Software “MS” with integrated Image Intelligence™ Technology. Fujifilm’s “MS” software efficiently manages order fulfillment and can drive multiple output devices in Fujifilm’s Expanding Frontier Solutions. For more than 75 years Fujifilm has developed and improved image quality through its proprietary Image Intelligence technology. This technology optimizes images to ensure the consistent high quality prints that customers expect from Fujifilm’s Frontier solutions.
Retail Photo Printing Solutions
Fujifilm will showcase a series of new instant print kiosk technologies at PMA 2010. Fujifilm will feature a unique new GetPix II kiosk solution. Fujifilm’s new GetPix II kiosk solution makes it easier than ever before for consumers to instantly create fun products such as books, cards, and calendars as well as 4”x6” prints with their digital images. This latest edition to Fujifilm’s kiosk line-up offers a duplex print solution complete with a finisher that is capable of automatically producing fun products ranging in sizes from 6”x 6” folded up to 5.5”x 8.5” folded and binding. Consumers are empowered to design and instantly produce fun products and share their images with a new level of creativity.
Also at PMA 2010, Fujifilm will introduce its new Multi-Service Kiosk solution. This new kiosk is ideal for retail photofinishers looking to drive additional revenue streams and offer more to their customers without giving up valuable floor space. In addition to 4”x6” prints, the new Multi-Service Kiosk allows consumers to pay for domestic and international telephone bills and prepaid tolls and cellular plans. Consumers can also order ring-tones, music videos, and event tickets all from the same kiosk. Fujifilm’s Multi-Service Kiosk is the size of a traditional photo kiosk terminal and allows customers to order prints and other services at the kiosk.
The new GetPix F7 kiosk terminal provides a simplified order process with an extremely small footprint. It includes Fujifilm’s next generation GetPix Version 5.0 kiosk terminal software with incorporated Image Intelligence Technology for exceptional image reproduction. Together, these latest innovations provide a new and improved user interface that enables customers to order photo items from high quality standard prints and enlargements to duplex photo books and assorted gift items. Plus, the flexibility of GetPix Version 5.0 kiosk terminal software can be configured for any Fujifilm kiosk or Frontier Solution. For instant prints, Fujifilm’s ASK 2500 dye sublimation printer allows for a variety of print sizes from 4”x 6”, 5”x 7”, and 6”x 9” with a maximum print speed of 6.9 seconds per 4”x 6” print. It provides exceptional photo quality when paired with Fujifilm’s new Quality Thermal Photo Paper. The paper is manufactured through a proprietary coating technology process that requires virtually no polluting organic solvents. The paper has increased whiteness and a glossier finish, and has reduced static which improves consumer handling of prints.
Specialty Photo Printing Solutions
Together with the Xerox Corporation, Fujifilm will showcase the Xerox Phaser® 7760 tabloid color laser printer and the Xerox DocuColor® 260 digital color printer/copier. The Xerox Phaser 7760 is compatible with Fujifilm kiosks and minilabs and uses Fujifilm’s Image Intelligence technology to provide exceptional-quality images. The Xerox DocuColor 260 is a high-speed printer offering impressive image quality at 2400 x 2400 dpi, and is capable of printing on a wide range of substrates, up to 110 lb cover/300 g/m2. With these solutions, Fujifilm and Xerox bring retailers specialty photo printing solutions to help them expand their profits by offering high resolution, high quality photo books, calendars, folded greeting cards and more from a wide range of inputs.
Online Photo Printing Solutions
Fujifilm’s online photo fulfillment capabilities have been extended using software technology from IP Labs, a German software company acquired by Fujifilm. This advanced software provides consumers the ability to create highly personalized photo products on both the web and desktop. The software features a unique free-form product composer tool that allows every aspect of photo products to be customized by users including the ability to add unlimited images, decorations, frames, and custom backgrounds. The consumer can resize, rotate, and move all of the decorative elements freely to make fully customized photo books, calendars, photo cards, and a full range of photo gifts. The desktop version also provides realistic 3D previews of select products that allow consumers to view their finished product from multiple perspectives before ordering. Fujifilm’s SeeHere.com an online photo sharing and printing service that uses this technology will be demonstrated in Fujifilm’s booth at PMA 2010.
