Embracing Our Differences 2013 Call for Entries

December 4, 2012 /Photography News/ The mission of Embracing Our Differences is to use art as a catalyst for creating awareness and promoting the value of diversity, the benefits of inclusion and the significance of the active rejection of hatred and prejudice.
Embracing Our Differences 2013, the 10th annual outdoor art exhibit, will contain 39 billboard-sized (16 feet wide by 12 feet high) original works of art, each accompanied by an inspirational quote.
The exhibit will be displayed during April & May 2013 at Island Park along Sarasota, Florida’s beautiful bay front.
Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has been viewed by more than one million visitors. During the same period, 94,000 students and teachers attended the exhibit for a firsthand observation and discussion concerning the importance of diversity in our lives.
After viewing the exhibit, one 8-year old student poignantly commented, “I learned that everyone is going to be someone.”

Wish I could this time, but when you have to choose between food/rent vs a new camera...food/rent wins out. Maybe next year.

Oh Great, another Code Word Art Exhibit
Are you going to include artwork demonstrating the associated destructive nature of diversity or will it just be minority artwork. How about KKK artwork or works celebrating the greatness of America that has been created by the 53%ers.?
