Getty Images Signs On as Official Photographer to The European Tour

July 17, 2010 /PN/ Getty Images, Inc. announced that it has renewed and significantly developed its partnership with The European Tour with a new five-year agreement.

The Company said that, under the terms of the agreement, Getty Images will be the official photographers of The European Tour, the European Senior Tour, the European Challenge Tour and The Ryder Cup, providing coverage of all European Tour and European Senior Tour events, as well as all the Major Championships and WGC events. Getty Images will also be providing coverage of The 2010 Ryder Cup from The Celtic Manor Resort, Wales, one of the highlights of the sporting year.

Through this agreement, European Tour and Ryder Cup promoters, sponsors and suppliers will benefit from agreed rights and access to Getty Images' unrivaled golf content to promote their involvement with their sponsored events, via Getty Images' bespoke digital asset management solutions, according to the Company.

The exclusive agreement will also enable The European Tour to access and incorporate Getty Images' broad golf content into a variety of communication tools, including The European Tour website, and the European Tour Yearbook. The European Tour will also benefit from imagery captured from assignments specifically undertaken by Getty Images, at the request of The European Tour.
