We live in an amazing world. But many of our planet’s treasures are being threatened – by climate change, over-development, pollution and other destructive human activities. From polar bears and tigers to whales and ocean coral; many of the things we cherish are endangered and disappearing. Photography is one way to make sure our favorite things live on.

Lowepro, the leading brand of protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, and Polar Bears International (PBI), a non-profit organization dedicated to the worldwide conservation of the polar bear, has launched the photo contest titled “My Favorite Things.”

“My Favorite Things” has a twofold purpose: to draw attention to the wildlife and ecosystems threatened by climate change and to celebrate the planet’s treasures through the medium of photography.

Eligibility: Open to professional and amateur photographers who are at least 21 years of age or older. Residents of the United States embargoed countries are not eligible to participate and the Contest is void in these countries and where prohibited by law.
