Child Corpse Mystery on Google Street View
August 12, 2010 /PN/ Residents of a Worcester neighborhood in the UK feared foul play when they saw a Google Street View image showing what seemed to be a girl's corpse sprawled on the sidewalk of Middle Road.But rather than being a crime scene, the images turned out to just be a youngster playing around with a friend outside her home.
Azura Beebeejaun, now 10, said: "I didn't know anything about the Google Street View car. I fell over while I was playing with my friend and thought it would be funny to play dead.
"I'm quite chuffed I'm on the
internet. It is quite funny and I can't wait to tell my classmates when I go back to school."Saira Beebeejaun, the girl's mother, said she was baffled that her playful daughter has caused such a fuss among her neighbors.
The images remain on Google Maps, and will until someone asks for them to be removed or Google updates its imagery. To see the grisly stunt, visit Google Maps, click the street view button, and pan around in the image.
