2011 CCNY Darkroom Residency Program - Call for Entries
CCNY invites emerging photographers living in New York City to apply for the 2011 Darkroom Residency Program.
The CCNY Darkroom Residency offers local photographers much-needed workspace in New York City as well as access to the CCNY community and programs.
Benefits of the Darkroom Residency:
WORKSPACE: Darkroom Residents receive three months of free, 24/7 access to the CCNY facility. Please visit http://www.cameraclubny.org/facilities.html to see details about CCNY's facilities.
PROGRAMS: Residents receive free admission to all 2011 CCNY events.
STIPEND: Residents receive a monthly stipend and donated materials during their residency.
ELIGIBILITY: All artists currently residing in New York City who are working in photography or lens-based art are eligible to apply. Please note that living accommodations are not provided. Students must have completed their studies on or before January 1, 2011 in order to be eligible to apply.
SELECTION PROCESS: A jury of photography professionals will consider all eligible applications.

WORK SAMPLE: Provide a work sample of up to 10 images. It is recommended that the work sample illustrate a single body of work. Images should be saved on CD/DVD as jpg files, approximately 1024 x 768 px, at 72 dpi. Files should not exceed 1 MB each. File should be named LastName_FirstName_01.jpg (i.e., Stieglitz_Alfred_01.jpg, Stieglitz_Alfred_02.jpg, etc.)
WORK SAMPLE INVENTORY: Provide a printed list of the submitted works that corresponds to work sample images. Include title, date, medium, and dimensions for each image.
ARTIST STATEMENT: Provide a brief, printed artist statement (one paragraph).
CV: Provide a printed one-page artist’s resume.
APPLICATION POSTMARK DEADLINE: 11/01/2010
