TeraBella Media Presents: “What Happens at Night” Photo Contest

August 11, 2011 /Photography News/ The world at night can be a very different place from the day time world. While the work day is ending for some, it is only beginning for others. Additionally, the night often calls for celebrations and other activities. A whole other nocturnal world exists. TeraBella Media invites you to submit your best representations of the night life.

Prizes:

First Place: $500 (USD) cash prize

Second Place: $200 (USD) cash prize

Third Place: $100 (USD) cash prize

Three (3) honorable mentions will also be chosen.

Eligibility:

Contest is open to all individuals 18 years and older. All countries accepted. This competition is open to both professional and non-professionals. This contest is void where prohibited by law.

Submission details:

Both color and black and white images will be accepted. Images must be submitted online via the participant/entrant's TeraBella Media account. Only JPG/JPEG files will be accepted. Images with watermarks, captions and/or borders will not be accepted. The size of the images should be no larger than 1200 pixels on the largest side. All layers should be flattened and have a jpg compression quality of 7 or 8. Images should be saved with a resolution of 72ppi.

Judging:

Wining images will be selected on the following criteria:

25% credit to adherence to theme of contest

25% credit to originality of thought

25% to artistic interpretation

25% to photographic skills.

Images will be evaluated by the TeraBella Media staff judging committee. All decisions are final.

Notification:

All winners will be notified via email within 7-10 days after contest ends. At that time each winner will receive instructions on acceptance of their award(s). All cash prizes will be paid via Paypal® or AlertPay® only. Winning entrant has 30 (thirty) days to claim prize. After 30 days the prize and prize amount will be forfeited. All prize amounts are finaland are non-negotiable.

Entry fee:

Participants are required to pay an entry fee in the amount of $20 (USD) and may submit up to four (4) images. Entrant may submit up to eight (8) images for additional fees. All entry fees are non-refundable.

Deadline:

Entries will be accepted until September 26, 2011 (11:59PM CST)
