50+ Scholarship to Encourage Lifelong Learning

The Impowerage Magazine is sponsoring a scholarship intended specifically for 50+ learners. The purpose of the scholarship is to reinforce lifelong learning, and help older adults pursue their next career move, hobby, or creative passion.
December 14, 2011 /Photography News - PRWEB/ Impowerage Magazine, an online magazine redefining aging, is offering a unique 50+ Scholarship. The $400 grand prize can be used for the applicant's preferred class, whether it’s a photography, cooking, or art class, an accredited academic course, or an online course.
There are few scholarship opportunities directly aimed at the 50+
population. The scholarship is meant to encourage lifelong learning
whether the applicants are pursuing a degree or simply taking classes
for the sake of learning something new and keeping their minds engaged.
"The Impowerage magazine encourages its readers that it's never too
late to do anything, and that includes learning something new," says
Impowerage editor Kelly Neufeld. "Some applicants have already applied
to use the scholarship prize to take a writing class, upgrade certain
skills to help them launch a new business and to help them finish a
master's degree."
Learning can help mature students pursue their next career move,
hobby, or creative passion. As Henry L. Doherty once said, “Be a student
so long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all
your life.”
Those who are interested in applying can fill out a short application
form by December 19th, or simply choose their favorite learning quote
from the Impowerage Facebook photo album. Full details can be found at Impowerage.com/Scholarship.
