“Graffiti!” Photo Contest Call For Entries

July 8, 2012 /Photography News/ Graffiti by nature is a controversy. To some it is mere vandalism, but to others it may be considered an art form. Its roots can be traced to ancient Greece and to the Roman Empire. Graffiti may embellish abandoned buildings with colorful and elaborate designs or it can be simple political or moral statements painted on brick walls. Profotio is seeking those interpretations that best display the essence of this type of expression.

Eligibility: 

All countries accepted. Images may be submitted by all photographers (professional and/or non professional.) Entrants must be 18 years or older.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Prize: $300 and the winning image will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
  • 2nd Place Prize: $200 and the winning image will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
  • 3rd Place Prize:  $100 and the winning image will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
  • 3 Honorable mentions:  The winning images will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
