The Second Annual Color of Gold Photography Competition

October 5, 2012 /Photography News/ In 2011 “The Color of Gold” was represented in images by many talented photographers. Once again, Profotio is seeking images that bring the full radiance of this magnificent color to light. Gold can be a regal and magnificent shade. It is synonymous with brilliance and beauty, it can also be humbly represented in the muted shades of a sunset. You are invited to submit your images that best interpret this hue. 

Prizes:
First Place winner will receive the following:
  • $300 cash prize
  • The winning image will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
Second Place winner will receive the following:
  • $200 cash prize
  • The winning image will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
Third Place winner will receive the following:
  • $100 cash prize
  • The winning image will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
3 Honorable mentions will be recongnized and will receive the following:
  • The winning images will be featured on the Profotio.com homepage slideshow
Eligibility:
All countries accepted. Images may be submitted by all photographers (professional and/or non professional.) Entrants must be 18 years or older. 
 
Judging:
Wining images will be selected on the following criteria: 25% credit to adherence to theme of contest 25% credit to originality of thought 25% to artistic interpretation 25% to photographic skills. Images will be evaluated by the Profotio staff judging committee. All decisions are final.
Notification:
All winners will be notified via email within 7-10 days after contest ends. At that time each winner will receive instructions on acceptance of their award(s). All cash prizes will be paid via Paypal™ or AlertPay™ only. Winning entrant has 30 (thirty) days to claim prize.
