Life Framer Photography Award judging panel revealed

July 9, 2013 /Photography News/ After much anticipation Life Framer organizers have decided to reveal the extent of the judging panel for the rest of Life Framer Photography Award

You’ll find eleven prestigious photographers (and a special guest!) who have won awards such as Hasselblad Masters, WPO, PDN, American Photo and IPA. They have exhibited all over the world in prestigious galleries and modern art museums. You may have seen their editorial work in BJP, PDN, HotShoe, Spin, Nylon, Wired, The Face, Exit, Vogue, Newsweek, The Times, The New York Times, TIME Magazine, Le Monde and many more. Outstanding photography, different achievements and very diverse life stories.

Here are four of them:

Chris Buck is a Canadian-born photographer known for his distinctive portrait style. In 1990 he quickly established himself as a sought-after editorial and commercial photographer. Since that time, he has built an extensive list of clients that includes Microsoft7, Xerox, Mazda, GQ, Esquire and Guardian Weekend Magazine. In 2007, he was the first recipient of the Arnold Newman Portrait Prize.
Chloe Aftel is an editorial and portrait photographer with a keen sense for style and fashion. Her poetic, lifestyle minded and narrative images are full of life and have a sense of freedom. She has won a bunch of award including American Photo, PDN 30, International Photography Awards.
Brooklyn-based photography prodigy Olivia Bee is only 18 years old. She shot her first commercial campaign at the age of 14 for Converse. Throughout the past four years she has brought her young and carefree touch to commissioned works for high-end brand names like Levi’s, Nike and Hermes. Olivia has recently been listed as one of PDN’s 30 New and Emerging Photographers to Watch.
Song Chao is a Chinese photographer with an interesting story. He started working in 1997 at a coal mine. He was an amateur but his intuitive, personal and powerful portraits of a small mining community quickly gave him worldwide recognition. Since nowadays many events and galleries around the world featured his artworks.
