PWP 38th Anniversary Women's International Open Call for Entry
September 3, 2013 /Photography News/ Professional Women Photographers (PWP) invites women photographers to their 38th Anniversary International Women's Photography Call for Entry.
Christiona Owen, Director of the Stephen Kasher Gallery of contemporary and vintage photography in Manhattan will award $5,000 in cash, the cover of IMPRINTS Magazine, a one-year online exhibition, exhibition catalog, and valuable prizes from Datacolor, global leader in color calibration technology.
Winners will be selected in each of the following four categories:
• Fine Art
• Daily Life and Culture
• IPhonography (any image created on an IPhone or other mobile device)
Grand Prize: One photographer will receive $1,000, plus a Datacolor Spyder4PRO color calibration system and SpyderCube raw calibration tool ($225 value.) Her image will appear on the front cover of a 2014 IMPRINTS Magazine, in the online exhibition, and the exhibition catalog.
First Prizes: 4 photographers (one in each category) will receive $500, plus a Datacolor SpyderCHECKR PRO camera calibration system ($139 value.) Their selected images will appear in a 2014 IMPRINTS Magazine, the online exhibition, and the exhibition catalog.
Second Prizes: 4 photographers (one in each category) will receive $300. Their selected images will appear in a 2014 IMPRINTS Magazine, the online exhibition, and the exhibition catalog.
Third Prizes: 4 photographers (one in each category) will receive $200. Their selected images will appear in a 2014 IMPRINTS Magazine, the online exhibition, and the exhibition catalog.
Jurors’ Selections: These 12 images will appear in a 2014 IMPRINTS Magazine, the online exhibition, and exhibition catalog.
Honorable Mention: 50 additional images will appear in the online exhibition and exhibition catalog.
This Call for Entry is open worldwide to all women photographers; non-members and members of PWP, amateur and professional. PWP invites women photographers working in all mediums, styles, and schools of thought to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome.
PWP Members: $25 for the first 3 images.
Non-Members: $35 for the first 3 images.
Additional images may be submitted for $10 each. The same image may be submitted to more than one category, however, it counts as an additional submission.

International Open Calls for Entry are one of PWP's primary fund-raising tools, allowing them to raise money needed to support their educational, networking, and community outreach programs.
Professional Women Photographers (PWP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women photographers. Christiona Owen is Director of the Steven Kasher Gallery in Manhattan, which specializes in fine art photography, contemporary and vintage. The gallery works with important photographers and major photographic archives such as the National Geographic Society, The New York Times, the Andy Warhol Foundation and Magnum.
Prior to joining the Kasher Gallery, Christiona held positions at the ROSEGallery of contemporary photography in Los Angeles, the Owen Gallery in New York, and Guggenheim Asher Associates, international art advisory consultants.
