'Miniature Appetite'. A photo essay by Laurie McCormick

February 17, 2014 /Photography News/ "This Miniature Series was born December 2013 and is a work in progress.

When I sprained my left ankle and broke my right ankle and needed surgery in June 2013 from falling into a drainage ditch on a photo trip to Spokane Washington (farm land), I was laid up for 4-5 months. During that time, I gained weight because I was unable to walk.

A few months after my ankles healed, I headed straight to a weight loss program to try to shed the extra pounds that I had gained during my healing process.

While I was preparing my meals, I came up with the idea of using my life long miniature collection with the various foods I was eating; mostly but not limited to fruits and vegetables. Over the next 4-5 weeks I created over 25 images in this brand new Series; MINIATURE APPETITE".
